Guest House

A true vacation getaway, the Guest House at the Lodge is a Sequim vacation rental that is as lovely as our B&B suites with some very special extras. A completely detached, two-bedroom, 1100-sq.ft. cottage on the main Lodge property, the Guest House is a wonderful getaway while exploring Olympic National Park.  It has its own lovely gardens with views of Little Quail Lake. There's even your own private Sundance hydrotherapy spa under the stars!

If you're traveling as a couple, it's an ideal retreat for two with a full kitchen. If you are traveling with young children or a couple of teenagers, the Guest House is ideal since it provides both B&B pampering and privacy from other guests.

The cozy gas fireplace in the great room is perfect on those chilly nights. Original artwork and new furnishings in a relaxed Craftsman style create the "away from it all" feeling of a very special retreat. The Guest House features high ceilings throughout with several decks and garden patios to enjoy the view. While you may feel a million miles away from it all, creature comforts include a 32-inch widescreen flat-panel hdtv-dvd-vcr with 70+ cable channels in the great room and a 25-inch TV-VCR with cable in the master bedroom. There's even a piano for impromptu concerts.

Shaker-style cabinetry in American cherry lends a warm glow to the gourmet kitchen. Designer appliances include a 4-burner ceramic cook top, full-size 30-inch oven big enough for a turkey, Bosch dishwasher, under-counter fridge, separate under-counter freezer, and full-size microwave. There's a great sit-up counter so you can visit with the cook and a separate dining nook with lovely Craftsman-style dining table and four chairs.

The custom kitchen is well-stocked with a Cuisinart coffee maker, blender, toaster, mixer, and a salad spinner plus all of the dishes, cookware & basic sundries that you'll need to whip up a laid-back dinner with ingredients from the nearby Sequim Open Aire Farmer's Market. Kitchen sundries of coffee, tea, spices, trash bags, paper towels, aluminum foil, plastic wrap and paper napkins are stocked for your convenience. There's also a soft-side cooler to pack picnics & snacks for outings and day trips. If you're not into cooking on your vacation, keep it really simple. Grill up some fresh King salmon on your stainless steel gas grill on the patio, toss up a salad, and voilà—dinner al fresco.

The master bedroom features a pillow-top King bed perfectly situated to give you a view through French doors to the covered sun porch. Chances are you'll see our resident family of wild black-tail deer strolling by on the trail to the orchard. A second bedroom features two (2) twin beds and can also be set up with a portable crib. We select age-appropriate, playful Pottery Barn bedding for toddlers, young children or teens. More luxurious B&B bedding is used when adults occupy the second bedroom.

A spacious full bath with both tub & shower features a vaulted ceiling, skylight, and operable window with a view of the gardens. In addition to Kohler fixtures, there's custom maple cabinetry with loads of counter space and cubbies for stashing a family's worth of toiletries. There's also a built-in hair dryer.

Vacations are all about getting a good night's sleep. We don't cut corners when it comes to the quality of our mattresses or our linens. All beds have Primaloft comforters and hypoallergenic pillows and our wonderful 100% cotton percale sheets, Duvet covers & shams (by Pottery Barn and Eddie Bauer Home) are changed completely with each and every guest. So you get a sumptuous King-size pillow-top bed that smells fresh-as-a-breeze.

For families traveling with young children, you can save on those airline extra baggage fees since we provide kid-friendly items such as a portable crib, high-chair, changing pad & diaper pail, Johnson's Babywash and diaper-wipes. There's even a built-in step stool inside the bathroom cabinet to make it easy for little ones to reach the sink! We offer a great selection of kid-friendly videos from Thomas the Tank Engine to Disney classics, as well as a well-stocked games cabinet for Family Night.

Rates include bath toiletries, dish detergent, kitchen sundries (basics such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, coffee filters, salt & pepper), plus an initial supply of TP/paper towels for your convenience. A portable cooler is provided to pack picnics & snacks for outings and day trips. Maximum occupancy is four (4) persons. There is always a 2-night minimum stay required and a 3-night minimum required Memorial Day through Labor Day and all Holidays. Reservations during Lavender Festival or Holiday weeks/weekends require full prepayment.

• Breakfast & daily maid service are NOT included in our standard rates.
• The Guest House is approximately 1100-sq.ft. and will comfortably accommodate a family of 2 adults plus 2 children. The cottage will also accommodate 4 adults (2 in King bed and 2 in twin beds) but please note there is just ONE shared bath.
• Fresh linens and towels are provided. We include mid-week tidy and fresh linens for stays of five (5) or more nights. Daily maid service is available for an additional charge.
• A Vacation Rental Agreement and a Security & Damage Deposit are required. The Security Deposit is fully refundable provided no items are missing and there is no damage to the residence and its furnishings.
• There is a minimum 30-day cancellation policy for our vacation rentals; 60-days notice required Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend; and 90-days notice required for reservations of five (5) or more nights, Lavender Festival week, and all Holiday reservations.
• The Guest House is a No-Pets and NON-SMOKING facility -- both inside and out. Persons who do not respect this policy will automatically be charged a minimum $250 cleaning & fumigation fee.
